BiorotorMXR™

1840_237_50The BiorotorMXR™ is an improvement to the basic design to accommodate those treatment scenarios where an over-sized Biorotor™ is required to ensure complete coverage within the tank while not providing excessive amounts of oxygen into the basin and mixed liquor.  This reduction in oxygen transfer capability of the BiorotorMXR™ is intended to minimize the occurrence of over-aeration issues such as filamentous blooms.

The BiorotorMXR™ is typically applied to those treatment scenarios where the following influent parameters are as noted:

o    High Influent TKN or Ammonia
o    Low BOD
And usually
o    High TSS

Lagoon effluent and other simple activated sludge processes typically exhibit these characteristics.  With new regulations requiring lower ammonia limits, the addition of a BiorotorMXR™ plant to the discharge side of these processes will allow for attainment of new effluent requirements while minimizing capital outlay, space requirements and operational disturbances during construction.

Wastewater Technologies has installations that have been in operation for close to ten years treating these type of wastestreams and continually meeting Ammonia effluent requirements.
