History

Welcome to Wastewater Technologies, LLC

In 1990 we installed our first wastewater treatment plant for a church camp near the Town of North East, Maryland.  Today we have over 100 installations in the U.S., Eastern Europe and China.  We can furnish self-contained treatment plants in steel tanks, which are preassembled in our shop, or we can provide the Biorotors™, BioDISCS™ and other equipment to be installed in locally constructed concrete tanks.

Biorotor™ treatment plants can be designed to discharge wastewater with less than 5 mg/L BOD and TSS, 3 mg/L total nitrogen and 0.5 mg/L phosphorous to meet the requirements of the 2010 EPA standards for discharge into the Chesapeake Bay and other protected waters.  Many of our facilities discharge to sub-surface irrigation systems which are used for crop or golf course irrigation.  Actual effluent limits are dependent upon equipment selected for use after the Biorotor™ process and includes secondary clarification, BioDISC™ tertiary cloth media filtration and our newest product the BiorotorMBR™, which is a Biorotor™ followed by a membrane, eliminating the need for a clarifier or BioDISC™ filter.  With the BiorotorMBR™, we can achieve effluent BOD and TSS almost to non-detectable limits.

The Biorotor™ and BioDISC™ are very cost effective and operator friendly method of municipal, domestic and industrial wastewater treatment.  In addition, the Biorotor™ operating and electrical power costs are very low, and a smaller footprint is required because of the efficient combination of fixed film and activated sludge processes.
